Il Governo italiano intervenga urgentemente per ripristinare il corretto flusso di informazioni sulla situazione sanitaria, per tutelare e promuovere l’immagine del nostro Paese. No a corridoi turistici e accordi tra Paesi europei che penalizzino l’economia turistica italiana

Promuovere la bellezza e la sicurezza dell’offerta turistica italiana, con campagne istituzionali sulle principali testate mondiali. I giornalisti del GIST, Gruppo Italiano Stampa Turistica, chiedono al governo e alle istituzioni che si occupano di promuovere il turismo, di avviare una vera Fase 2, anche della comunicazione, per sostenere il ritorno alla normalità del Paese e di tutte le sue strutture di ospitalità. Il nostro Paese, pur colpito più duramente e per primo in Europa dal coronavirus, è uscito dall’emergenza e ad oggi ha un numero di contagi simile a quello di molti altri Paesi europei.
L’Italia ha dati statistici che dimostrano la remissione del coronavirus, e il ritorno alla normalità è sancito sia da disposizioni regionali sia nazionali. Le destinazioni e le strutture turistiche sono pronte per accogliere gli ospiti da tutto il mondo, in totale sicurezza e nel rispetto delle norme, che in alcuni casi sono molto più cogenti che in altri Paesi europei.
Riteniamo dunque che provvedimenti restrittivi adottati nei confronti dell’Italia, legati ai flussi turistici e all’accesso alle frontiere, siano oggi anacronistici, in quanto non rispecchiano la reale e attuale nostra situazione sanitaria. Il perdurare di atteggiamenti di chiusura sugli spostamenti degli italiani all’estero, soprattutto nell’area Schengen, così come la creazione di ingiustificati corridoi turistici che escludono l’Italia, sono da condannare e rigettare in quanto penalizzano economicamente il nostro Paese rispetto al resto d’Europa. Così come sono da rigettare alcune proposte di regioni italiane, che intendono introdurre modalità di ingresso insensate e inapplicabili. Chi pensa di poter introdurre tamponi e prelievi sierologici all’ingresso di un qualunque confine non sa come funziona il mondo del turismo e le dinamiche di prenotazione del viaggio.
“E’ necessario -ha dichiarato la presidente del GIST Sabrina Talarico- che l’Europa cambi atteggiamento nei nostri confronti e che il governo italiano intervenga in modo tempestivo ed efficace per il ripristino di flussi informativi corretti e attuali, nonché per la tutela dell’immagine dell’Italia, gravemente compromessa”.
I giornalisti del GIST, Gruppo Italiano Stampa Turistica, da sempre impegnati nel promuovere il turismo nel mondo, auspicano che si torni presto al libero movimento tra Stati, necessario per la ripresa dell’economia mondiale. Non è solo il PIL italiano, infatti, a reggersi con percentuali importanti sul turismo, ma anche quello europeo e mondiale.
Il settore turistico italiano vive di incoming ma anche di outgoing, e come abbiamo sottolineato nel nostro “Manifesto per il Giornalismo di viaggio e turismo”, chiediamo al Ministero del Turismo che si faccia carico, insieme alla conferenza stato-regioni, della tutela dell’immagine della promozione del Sistema Turistico Italia, che per ripartire ha bisogno della rimozione di pregiudizi e provvedimenti adottati da singoli Paesi europei.
